This offers a platform for companies to publish their own reviews and individuals to quickly publish reviews without the company in question's ability to professionally resolve the issue. Furthermore, no business would provide a negative reference; just those that are extremely positive. My Home Air Filters For My Hvac Unit Are So Noisy!?
I Have 3 Air Filters In My Home, All Ceiling Installed. I Have Tried Replacing Them But It Doesn'T Help. They Make Thumping Noises When The Air Starts Or Stops And They Also Make Odd Cracking Noises. I Am Pretty Sure They Are Installed Correctly (Arrow Pointing Up Towards Ceiling). Does Anyone Have Suggestions On How To Make These Less Noisy?
The 3 filters are likely in the return grills of your air conditioning system. This means that arrows on the filters should be pointing into the duct system as this is the direction of air flow. That said, some people do use filters in the supply air diffusers, in this case the arrows will point into the rooms that they are in. The way to determine which you have is to feel with your hand to see which way the air is going and point the arrow in the direction of air flow.
The thumping noises are probably caused by the force of the air pulling the filters into the duct system. This is an indication that the filters do not fit tightly in their holders.
To correct this just see if there is some way to make the filter fit a bit tighter. you can use some foam weather stripping along one side of the track that the filter sits in or there may be some way to tape the filter into place. Anything that will make the filter fit tighter into place and prevent moving will help. It's hard to be specific without seeing. Send me a picture if you like.
I'm not sure what to say about the cracking noises. Are they some sort to electrostatic filter or something. Maybe the cracking noise is coming from an electronic air cleaner or something.
Air Conditioning Causing Newborns Nasal Stuffiness?
My Son Is 10 Days Old. He Was In Air Conditioning At The Hospital For The First 5 Days Of Life And Was Fine. Then He Was Home With Us For 3 More Days, With The Air On And No Problems. Then He Got A Stuffy Nose And Hubbys Mom Suggested It May Be The Air So We Turned It Off For A Day And Then He Seemed Fine Again. Now We Have It On Again, Set At 80 Because Its 90 Some Out Now And He Seems To Have The Stuffiness Again. He Seems So Warm Right Now. I Dont Know What To Do. My Mom Says Air Is Fine But No Fans. His Mom Says Use Fans Bc The Air Is Causing It. How Can I Help My Baby? I Feel So Helpless!
we have the same problem with our 20 day old. His doctor gave us saline nasal spray that we have to use in the morning and night. We spray it in his nose both sides and suction it out with a nasal suction thing and it helps break everything up and he sounds alot better. He screams like hell when its happening but he quiets down after a minute or so. Talk to your peditriction about using it. She gave us a sample called Nasa Mist.
I Have A 2013 Mustang V6 And I Want To Get A Cold Air Intake, But I Have Heard It Will Flood The Engine?
Will A Cold Air Intake Flood Or Do Any Harm To My 2013 3.7 V6 Mustang?
There are two conditions that can be described as flooding the engine-
1. The most common is when the engine gets flooded with fuel, this should not happen just because a cold air intake is installed, provided the filter does not get wet with water.
2. Water damage, now this can happen because they are low and subject to splash when driving through high water. Some times this just cuts down on air flow resulting in a gasoline flooding.
They do make safety by-pass filters that can be mounted in the piping for when this happens. If the water is high enough and or in large enough quantities water can be sucked into the intake and pistons (not good).
Before you go buying a cold air intake in the hopes of improving performance, I would like to point out a few things-
1. Intakes are heated with the same coolant that provides heat inside the car during the winter. So no matter what you do, during operation the air will be above ambient air temps once the engine warms up.
2. With a little modifications you can take advantage of the existing air box to provide the same benefit as a more expensive after market unit.
3. Ram air is better then a plain cold air intake. If you take a look at Ford units that are built for the police you will notice an small scoop under the bumper that feeds this air into the stock air box. One can be fabricated fairly easily using parts for a shop vac (which can be found in a lot of home improvement centers).
4. I did install a short cone filter on one of my cars and on the other a K&N filter in the stock air box. The performance improvement was just about the same. So I reached the conclusion that the extra cost was not worth the investment.
I Have Air Conditioning Ducts But I Won'T To Be A Green Thumber And Save Money, Is There Any Green Thumb Ways?
Lose the AC...I live in a hotter part of Canada...yes Canada does get very hot and when you live on the shores of the Lakes, which is almost impossible not to, it get very hot and sticky...when we grew up, as in most other places, we did not have AC and survived the summer in many ways we have forgotten today...the right clothes to start with, if any, we always wore light lose fitting cottons; outdoors...anyway, I won't go there, what I am saying to answer your question is if you cannot lose the AC then turn it up...run it a 74 maybe but at least 72...of course you can change the bulbs, cooler and more efficient; turn that computer off when not using..money and heat; buy locally...god the produce is so nice...and I have a VW to sell you..amazing old beast that still out mpg all the others...I remember doing my first road trip and stopping in Alabama...the guy checking my oil came to the window and asked me "where's the air?" and not having a clue what he was talking about, I went to see and he was amazed to see a car without AC....interesting, it is believed that a car on the highway runs more efficient on AC because of the aerodynamics but why not the windows open in the city?...but despite all that you may have seen on Live Earth, we still don't have a prayer until we attack the industries that are killing us...corporate greed is what is going to kill us and once we start to save the pennies and the demand drops, watch the prices rise to keep corporate greed in place...one of the believes is that the rise in fuel prices are orchestrated as the demand drops with energy efficiency...anyway, enough and I guess I went way off topic...good luck..
&Quot;Where Is The Air Conditioning Expansion Valve In A 03 Mitsubishi Outlander?&Quot;?
Name Of Valve &Quot;Valve,A/C Expansion &Quot;
Part # Mr568829
It would be located where the evaporator coil meets the firewall.
Under the hood -> follow the AC line from the condensor (in front of the rad) to the firwall - it would be located between the condenser and the evaporator. It should be accessible from underhood.
Have another look at the firewall - they are usually there - it may appear as an aluminum block that the lines bolt to - the X-valves are mounted inside the block.
