Frequently Asked Questions

How Do I Prevent Mold From Growing On My Wall Air Conditioning Unit?
My Room Uses A Window Ac Unit. I Have Had This Ac For 5 Years Now. The Inside Part Of The Vent Is Filled With Mold. It Has Been Building Up For A Year Now. Just Recently I Sprayed Lysol Disinfecting And Cleaning Solutions And Some Other Chemicals That Combat Mildew And Mold. I'M Not Sure If That Alone Will Clear Up The Mold. It Is Impossible For Me To Clean Inside Without Breaking The Plastic Vent Off. How Can I Prevent Mold From Growing? If I Buy A New Ac Unit, Is There A Particular Type Of Design Or Technology That Prevents Mold Or Mildew To Grow?

That sounds a bit dangerous to me - mold and mildew can cause health problems. Try spraying a little vinegar into the vent everyday. Vinegar works like bleach and will kill the mold but if there is a lot it may take a while. If I were you I would replace the AC unit and find out how to prevent the mold growth in the first place. The vinegar treatment might do it, but there may be newer AC units that have a better way of addressing the problem.

Air Conditioning On But Hot Air Is Coming Out?
Our Air Conditioning (Central Air) Is On In The Box Thing On The Wall Inside But Warm Air Is Coming Through The Registers And The Outside Fan Box Thing Isn'T Blowing Out Air. So, I Don'T Know What To Do And Maybe There'S An Easy Fix But It Was Working Yesterday And Now Not. I'Ll Be Glad To Give Additional Information If Needed. Thanks In Advance.

The outdoor unit is not coming on. Are you willing to try to troubleshoot it ? I think the contacts are not pulling in on the contactor which is located in the electrical section.
edit:
I have enabled IM.

Ice Block In Air Conditioning?
I Come Into The Room, Planning To Clean Up The Water Which Was Supposed To Be There After I Switched Off The Air Conditioning The Other Day Because Of Some Ice, Not Much, Except Only This Time - The Ice Got Even Bigger. Like, 2.5 Inches Thick Above The Air Conditioner Itself Big. The First Thing I Tried To Do Was Switch It Off - But Even As I Pressed The Button, There Was *No Response*. No Blinking Lights, No &Quot; On&Quot; Or &Quot;Off&Quot; Sound, Or Any Sign Of Functionality Except Some Very Faint Hissing Noise. I'Ve Been Blowing An Electric Fan Against The Ice In Hopes Of Making It Melt Faster. But Apart From Sitting Here And Waiting For The Professionals Which Take Ages To Come, What Else Can I Do? Is This Normal? It Looks Bad.

Sounds like Fuzzy don't know jack. There are several reasons an air conditioner can freeze up.

Fan motor not spinning (burnt motor or capcaitor)
motor bearings locked or tight
blower wheel loose on the shaft
belts loose
dirty return air filter
dirty evaporator
low refrigerant charge
metering device partially blocked or not working at all

The best thing you can do is clean everything inside and out. Clean CLean Clean....then turn it on and if everything else is clean and working properly only then do you think about adding refrigerant.

The best thing you can do is clean it. With the lack of information you gave it's hard to say. You didn't specify if this was a central unit or a window unit. We don't know the size, brand, or type.

Can I Join The Air Force With My Condition?
Hi Guys I Have A Question Im 19 Years Old And I Want To Join The The Air Force For Like Welding Or Hvac And I Do Have A Heart Condition Its Called (Coarctation Of The Aorta) And I Had Since I Was In Diapers. I Had 3 Heart Surgerys! 2 Of Them Was Angioplasty, Where The Went In My Veins And Open My Aorta! Then The 3Rd Time Was Open Heart Cause They Found An Aneurysm So They Cut That Out And Patch My Aorta! And From The Open I Heart It Caused Me To Have High Blood Pressure, I Take Atenolol 100Mg And All This Happened 10 Years Ago, I Get Yearly Check Ups And Iv Been Fine Since Then!

It sucks but you really don't have a chance, they likely wouldn't even consider giving you a waiver. If you are up front and honest with a recruiter then he will likely turn you away outright without even trying. If you with hold the information you won't get in any trouble outright but the doctors at MEPS will figure out you had some type of major surgery in the past. You don't walk away from open heart without some type of major scar. They'll want to know details about the scar, what it resulted from, etc. You'll either have to have one incredibly believable story to tell them or you'll have to come clean. Check the link below, it is a list of Heart and Vascular issues that are disqaulifying if there is a history or it is presently current. You'll find aneurysm and other related issues listed under Vascular System further down in the article.

By all means if you really want to serve then go talk to a recruiter but be upfront with him. All he would really have to do is to make a call or send off an email to find out specifics and if there are any loop holes or waivers that you could qualify with. The worst he can say is sorry, you are medically disqualified based on your history.

If you are more looking for a skill or trade to get into such as welding or HVAC then there are plenty of programs, schools, apprenticeships out there that you could attend. Some apprenticeships require that you attend school in the afternoons while you work full time. Some schools will require you to attend full-time and worry about work after you graduate. It all depends on which route you choose to pursue the training/work. You may apply to a union apprenticeship and while you are waiting to class up for school you could work as a lower level tradesman/apprentice. There are a lot of avenues available to you even though your medical history may DQ you from military service.

What Happened To The Nissan Pulsar?
Aren'T Nissan Making It No More Or Are They In The Process Of Making A New Model?

Australia (2000-2005)

In Australia and New Zealand, Nissan continued to use the Pulsar name for the N16. Four-door sedan and five-door hatchback versions were offered.

Trim levels were LX, ST, Q and Ti. Engine choices consisted of a 1.6-litre or a 1.8-litre four-cylinder with 16 valves. Power output was 83 kW (118 hp) and 92 kW (123 hp). The four-door was available in four trim levels - an LX with the 1.6, the ST and Ti with the 1.8-litre engine as standard, and a Q version with the 1.8 motor and a sportier level of trim, including a rear spoiler and alloy wheels.

In the five-door range there was no LX version, this being four-door only. Nissan launched the hatchback model with the ST trim level and a sporty Q version. As such, all hatches were 1.8-litre powered. The base-model LX sedan came with a driver's airbag, air-conditioning, remote locking and power mirrors, although no anti-lock brakes (ABS) or power windows were offered. Surprisingly, the ST five-door gained an extra front airbag, whereas the four-door model did not have one as standard.

In Ti form, the four-door gained both front airbags, ABS, climate-control air-conditioning, alloy wheels and power windows. The Q model was similar to the Ti four-door, although there were slight discrepancies between the sedan and hatch, with the latter version gaining an extra air-bag and 15-inch alloy wheels versus the 14-inch alloys on the sedan.

Information About Miami

Downtown Miami is Miami's bustling epicenter, packed with gleaming skyscrapers, sweeping bay views, and hidden places to explore. From the area of layers--decades of background overlapping and colliding; travel and leisure destinations like Dock of Miami alongside local favorites like American Airlines Industry, home to the Miami Warmth; century-old buildings among new pouches of young residents who call the neighborhood home. Where its southern neighbor Brickell is modern, towering, and thick, Downtown Miami is a mix of the old and the new. It was the site of 1 of Miami's earliest international sights, Henry Flagler's Royal Hand Hotel, which opened in 1897 along the lender of the Miami River. Downtown Miami was home to Miami's first development increase in the 1910s and 1920s, with Flagler Avenue at its primary. Freedom Tower, right here inside our itinerary, was the entry point for Cuban refugees arriving in Miami in 1959. Today, Downtown Miami's people has doubled in fewer than 10 years, and the ones new residents have helped bring new restaurants, bars, retailers, parks, and world-class museums.
