The BBB in fact works for the business it represents as they are just rated if the business in question pays them a recurring fee. Online review sites rarely show all the evaluations got, and post reviews from sources that are not always reputable. This offers a platform for companies to post their own evaluations and individuals to hastily post reviews without the business in question's capability to professionally solve the concern. Additionally, no company would give out an unfavorable recommendation; just those that are exceptionally favorable. None of these are perfect dynamics for customers seeking completely unbiased evaluations and referrals. It is recommended to use these approaches as an informed consumer and think about the info source for what it is worth.

Angie's List, in addition to some other online business directory sites, charge the client directly for their ratings and business' contact details. Other third-party websites provide consumers with cooling, heating and ventilation companies and include the cost of being a middle-man to the service equation. Frequently Asked Questions:
Where Is The Best Place In Sydney To Buy An Air Conditioner And What Brand?
Which Is A Better Air Conditioner Condeser Goodman Or York?
I Need To Buy A New Condeser And I Am Not Sure Which Brand Is Best?
YORK is better known and quality...but personally I had had best luck and success with TRANE!
Also I might recommend you joining ANGIE's LIST <= membership is pricey but supposely can join for just one month and then just getting quotes from like 3 or more highest rated local HVAC firms. The nice thing about ANGIE's LIST is consumer/resident members do decent job subjectively rating firms for their quality of work and sometimes price on different/various repair services and most give honest opinions so please beware not to select bad apples or ones with lowest grades bec they are crooked and you don't want to do business with them or get quotes from bec in the end.
BTW please keep in mind to get estimate in writing (Oh! very important for you to ask upfront if they charge a price for estimate) but please keep in mind that quality and experience in doing the job right is not always the lowest price...
Hope the Above Info Helps!
Which Air Conditioner Should I Get? York Brand Or Keeprite? Which One Is More Efficient?
I Have A Single Detached House And My 2 Ton Central Air Conditioner Just Broke Down. I Want To Get A New One. I Have Being Offered Two Different Brand Of Air Conditioner, One Is York And The Other One Is Keeprite. Can Anybody Tell Me Which One I Should Get For The Money?
According to my source, Keeprite is rated slightly higher than York. As far as the efficiency, that does not depend on the brand. Each brand typically has units with different efficiencies. You can find complete ratings and comments about each brand from a professional perspective, at my source.
Is The Evaporator Of An Air Conditioner Supposed To Go Below 32 Degrees?
I Used A Ir Thermometer To Check The Temperature.
It Seems The Evaporator Of My Ac Starts To Show Frost On It; On The Grill And The Pipes And Then The Compressor Stops For Like 2 Minutes And The Frost Melts.
Then It Turns Back On And The Evaporator Starts To Freeze Again And Rinse And Repeat Pretty Much.
I Don'T Know Much About Ac'S But Is This A &Quot;Fail-Safe&Quot; Kicking In To Prevent It From Getting Damaged? I'M Guessing That Ice Is Not Supposed To Form On The Evaporator.
What Should I Do? Should I Buy A New Ac? Or Get It Repaired?
It'S This One.
Yes, that little bulb in front of the coil is essentially an ice thermostat. When it detects ice or cool enough air passing across it, it tells the compressor to stop cooling in order to avoid a big block of ice.
Believe it or not, its the condenser coil that has alot to do with it. If its dirty, the unit cannot reject heat. The unit thinks there's more heat to displace. So it keeps running. In that way window units are redundant.
Take the thing out of the window, peel the skin, clean behind both coils with CloroxCleanup and a brand new dollar store toilet brush, rinse very well with a water hose. DO NOT bend any copper lines.....
I Need A New Central Air Conditioning (A/C) Unit For A 2400 Sq Ft Home. What Size?
I Need A New Central Air Conditioning (A/C) Unit For A 2400 Sq Ft Home. I Currently Have A 3 Ton Unit. What Size Would Be Best To Keep It Cool?
My Current System Is 21 Yrs Old And Has A Leak And Needs To Be Repaired. (Have Had It Serviced Around 4 Times This Summer).
I Think It Would Be Best To Get A Energy Efficient One To Save On My Electricity Bill Which Is Around $800 In The Summer And $600 During Reg Yr. We Have 5 Bedrooms, Pool And 7 People Living In The Home. 4 Of Them Are College Children. Yep, We Have Computers, Lots Of Laundry, Meals To Cook, Showers, Flushes, Etc.
Is Just Replacing My 3 Ton Unit Big Enough? I Would Like To Go Bigger If Possible But I Hear At Some Point Its Not Worth It (Waste Of Energy). I Know I Would Have To Change Out The Furnace If I Go Bigger.
Also, What Is A Good Estimate On The New Unit?
Thanks So Much,
a 4 ton unit will cool approximatly 2500 sq. foot. I would suggest a heat pump and you would have to change out your old furnance. A heat pump will save you money on electricity for heat and cooling. some people say they dont heat that well, but i have no problem with them. The price will depend on your area, call a GOOD heating and air company, hopefully one of your friends know a good company. Get several quotes on the price and use your best judgment. In my part of the country, kansas, a new heat pump with a furnance should cost no more than $4,000.00. If you do some of the work, it will cost less.
