Fuji prices are about the same as panasonic's but the energy rating was higher on the Fuji's so they will be alittle more costly to use.

2.- De-icing - Uses a mechanical device (usually inflatable rubber boots) on the leading edge of the wings to break off the ice AFTER it forms on the wing. Hence the term 'de-ice'.
De-icing systems are usually used on smaller aircraft that have a limited supply of bleed air. Smaller business jets, turboprops and some reciprocating engine aircraft usually have de-icing systems.
The bigger jets that have sufficient bleed air to literally blow it away use anti-ice systems.

It sounds like it doesn't work. Who would "unhook" a working air conditioner? Have it tested at an auto a/c shop, it may need just a belt, it may need a recharge, it may need all kinds of things. It likely has R-12, which can no longer be purchased from anybody except a licenced fitter in possession of recycled freon. It is expensive. You could be looking at a retrofit for R-134. In any case, do not fart around with it yourself.
